December 12, 1959 – October 25, 2019
Patsy Elaine Rector Burrow, 59, of Bridgeport, Alabama, went Home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 25, 2019 at her home.
The daughter of the late Marvin Rector, Jr. and Paulean Haney Rector, she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Coalmont, Tennessee and loved going to church in the last weeks of her life. She was a passionate University of Alabama "Roll Tide" fan. One of her favorite activities was when her family would take her for "therapy" shopping at Goodwill. She is also remembered as a loving mother who adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Rector and Mike Rector; two nephews, John David Gass and Jeffrey Dewayne Gass; and a great-nephew, Malachi Canada.
She is survived by her husband, James Burrow of New Hope, Alabama; daughter, Misty (Jason) Baker of Huntsville, Alabama; son, Grady (Felicia) Nunley, Jr. of Huntsville; sisters, Vickie (Gary) Davenport of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Nancy (Ray) Prince of Scottsboro, Alabama, Donna (Leroy) Johnson of Bridgeport, Alabama, and Lisa (Jason) Swift of Sarasota, Florida; and brother, Marvin (Regina) Rector of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Emma Nunley, Cassie Nunley, Sabrina Baker, J.D. Nunley, and Willow Nunley; step-grandchildren, Victoria, Abigale, and Lauralie Abner, and Jason Baker; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Rector and Lisa Rector; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, John & Gloria Kennedy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to New Beacon Hospice, especially Patsy's nurse, "Miss Cathy."
Funeral services will be held at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Central time on Monday, October 28, 2019 with Brother Andy Lockhart officiating. Interment will be in Tate Cemetery in the Battle Creek Community.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 27th from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. Central time at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Camp Fund, PO Box 95, Coalmont, Tennessee 37313.
