Peggy Lynn Gibbons Durham, 76, of Jasper, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 with her loving family by her side.

Peggy was a United States Marines Corps Veteran. She served her time as a Corporal during Vietnam.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a pharmacy Tech for Parkridge Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Josephine Gibbons of Greenville, Ohio.  Her son, Raford Dean Durham II and daughter, Wyhonia Lynn Durham.

Survivors include her son, James Preston Durham; grandson, James Harmon Durham; two sisters, Jo Ann Gibbons of Greenville, Ohio, Mary Ellen Taylor of Maine and one brother, John Gibbons, of Phoenix, AZ, several nieces, nephews, and friends; and basset hound Daisy.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at New Hope Cemetery, with Pastor Bradley Cook officiating.

The burial will be at New Hope Cemetery.

The Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guard will conduct a full military honors service at the cemetery.

There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Rector, Morgan Wynne, Josh Chance, Kevin Durham, Ray Durham, and James Durham.
