Ms. Peggy Joyce Garth of South Pittsburg, TN died Thursday, May 28, 2009 in her home.The daughter of John Willie Reynolds and the late Lee Ella Garth, Ms. Garth was a Sequatchie Valley Head Start teacher for 32 years. She served on the South Pittsburg Board of Zoning Appeals and was a member of Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, where she taught Sunday School.She is survived by her son, Keith Garth and her granddaughter, Ayana Garth, both of South Pittsburg. She is also survived by other family members, Jarvis Wooten, Inez & Ed Reynolds, Gladys Wooten and Larry Taylor.The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 30th from 6pm - 8pm CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg. Funeral services will be conducted from the Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church in South Pittsburg on Sunday, May 31st at 2pm CDT with Pastor Richard O. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Gaines Chapel Cemetery in Battle Creek, near South Pittsburg, TN.
