Pierce H. "Danny" Daniel, 94, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died Thursday, July 18, 2019.

A native of Rome, Georgia, he was a long-time superintendent at the Pittsburg Knitting Mill. He was a founding member of Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, where he was the first choir director, first adult Sunday School teacher, and served for many years on their Board of Trustees. He was a US Marine Veteran of World War II, the recipient of two Purple Hearts, and was a devoted and patriotic American.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce Henry & Fannie Sharp Daniel, his beloved wife, Marie McCarver Daniel, and an infant son.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and his church family.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Central time with Rev. Ronnie Case, officiating. Interment will follow at Fall Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Central time.
