Ray Dalton, 72, of South Pittsburg, TN died Friday, December 24, 2010 at his home.

The son of the late Thomas Edward and Ethel Guinan Dalton, he was a US Army veteran of the Korean war, a Gideon and a new member of the South Pittsburg Lions Club. He was a devout Christian who enjoyed church activities and was a member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church. He also owned and operated Dalton Electric.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Thomas Dalton and sister, Marilyn Dalton.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Chance Dalton of Jasper; brothers, Charles Dalton of Massachusetts and Lawrence F. Dalton of Scottsboro, Alabama; sister, Lorraine Harrison of Venice, Florida; Children, Raymond Dalton, Marilyn Dalton, Sean Dalton, Kathy Dalton and Tracy Jones; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Ben Sutton of Chattanooga, Trey Chance and Autumn Chance both of South Pittsburg.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2pm Central time. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Central time on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
