Mr. Richard C. Perkins, 61, of Jasper, TN died Monday, January 5, 2009 at his home following a lengthy illness.
The son of the late Clifford and Bonnie Mae Failes Perkins, he was a 19 year Veteran of the US Navy having served during Vietnam. After his Naval service, he taught Technical Drafting at Chattanooga State Technical Community College for over 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Bailey Perkins; sons, Larry Joe Bailey, Richard Andrew Perkins and Richard Craig Perkins, Jr.; daughters, Amey Marie Bailey and Laura Mechelle Rankin; three grandchildren, Jimmy Tyler Rankin, Chase Bradley Rankin and Larry Dakota Bailey; brother, Jimmy Perkins; and aunt, Dora Lee Caldwell.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
