Our beloved father, Robert Fredric Anderson, 82, of Whitwell, TN, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 13, 1944, in Stockton, CA, to Fred and Louise Anderson, Robert graduated from the University of California and built a successful career as a biologist before retiring in 2011. Outside of his professional life, he was an avid environmentalist and a proud member of the Sierra Club. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered for his passion for gardening and his deep love of the outdoors.

He is survived by his sons, Ian and Colin; his granddaughter, Katherine; his great-granddaughter, Charlotte; and his sister, Judy.

The Anderson family wishes to thank everyone who supported Robert and our family over the past few months. Your kindness has meant the world to us.

The family will have a celebration of Life at a later date.
