Rose Marie Head Bratcher, 82, of South Pittsburg, TN died Sunday, May 16, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital.
Born April 22, 1928 in Sewanee, TN, she was a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Head Brummitt; husbands, William Lonnie Bratcher, Sr. and William Lewis Johnson; son, William Lewis Johnson, Jr.; daughters, Frances Joyce Johnson and Margaret Rose Gibson.
She is survived by her children, Allie May Haley, Gloria Kennedy, Dianne Barnes, Leroy Johnson, JR Johnson, Billy Bratcher, Jr. and Mikey Bratcher; 15 grandchildren, Jimmy "Man" Haley, Jr., Lynn Haley Garman, Margaret Godsby, Donna Gibson, Cynthia Kennedy, John "Bud" Kennedy, Jr., Robert "Dobber" Barnes, Jr., Crystal Johnson Jacobs, Ashley Johnson, Lewis Johnson, Spencer Johnson, Leah Kinsey, Julie Kinsey, Alex Bratcher and Gavin Bratcher; 12 great-grandchildren; best friends, Helen Smith and Melissa Dodson; very special friend, Ernie Dawson of the gospel group, Heirline; and many other loving, giving friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19 at 1pm CDT with Reverend Ronnie Case and Terry Case officiating. Ernie Dawson of Heirline will be providing the music for Mrs. Bratcher's service. Interment will follow in Gilliam Cemetery.
The family will recieve friends for visitation on Monday, May 17th from 6-9pm CDT and on Tuesday, May 18th from 9am-9pm CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
