Ruby Pelfrey Shipley, 77, of Chattanooga, TN died Sunday, September 14, 2008 in a local hospital.
The daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Fannie Newman Pelfrey, she was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother, an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #95, and was involved with Mountain City Tour Busing business for many years. She was a patient with Alexian Brothers' Pace program where she made many good friends.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Shipley, Jr. and wife, Melody, Randy Shipley and Gregg Shipley and wife, Ella; grandchildren, Andy, Matt, Sydney and Selby Shipley; great-grandson, Kade Shipley; many dear friends at East Ridge Baptist Church and several special neighbors.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, September 17th from 11 AM until service time.
Funeral service will be conducted from the East Ridge Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 1 PM Eastern. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
