Ruth Thomas King, 65, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was the daughter of the late George Luther and Martha "Rose" Swain Thomas. She attended the Church of God and was a loving mother, wife and loved all of her grandchildren more than life. She loved music and always thought of others before herself. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert Parker, Virgil Thomas, Jim Thomas; sister, Della Reed and granddaughter, Samantha Kilgore.
She is survived by her children, Sandy Dixon of South Pittsburg, Candy Gass of Ft. Payne, AL, Michael King, David King and Stacey Riner all of South Pittsburg, and Tracey Stone, of Rainsville, Al; grandchildren, Shannon Dixon, Jeremy Floyd, Matthew Floyd, Tiffany Little, Mikie King, Alexis King, Coy King, Casey King, Trevor King, Corey King, Joey Riner, Caitlyn Riner, Jacob Riner, Makala Stone and Ashley Stone; nine great-grandchildren; half-brother, Arnold Parker; dear friend, Odell Parker and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8 at 3:30pm Central time with Rev. Darrell Nunley officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-8pm and on Saturday from 9am until service time at the funeral home.
