Samuel Ellis "Sammy" "Sam" Austin, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in a Toccoa, Georgia hospital.
Sammy was born on April 2, 1955 and lived most of his life in Jasper, where his family owned and operated Austin's Bait and Tackle. He was a member and Past Master of the Marion Lodge #515 F&AM in South Pittsburg as well as a member of the Dart Vaders competitive dart team.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Xen and Helen Austin and brother, Carl Austin.
A memorial and visitation for family and friends will be held at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 11 AM until 12 Noon.
A Masonic Memorial Service will begin at 11 AM.
