Obituary

R. Scott Patton, 93, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 in a Chattanooga hospital.

The son of the late Frank Theophil & Mary Harmon Patton, he was a US Navy veteran of World War II, he was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and also studied at the University of Michigan and Georgetown University. Scott worked as a supervisor with TVA for 38 years, retiring in 1988.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James F. Patton.

He is survived by his wife, Phila Wood Patton of Jasper, TN; his children, Phil Patton of Nashville, TN, Jill Patton Moll of Albany, NY and Gary Patton of Signal Mountain, TN; three grandchildren, Kyle Patton of Signal Mountain, TN, Catherine Patton Moll, and Jonathan Patton Moll both of Albany, NY; two brothers, David Patton of Kelseyville, CA, Roger Patton of Muskegon, MI; sister, Carolyn Wilkinson of Lynchburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2:00pm Central time on Tuesday, January 3, 2016 with Rev. Joey Manis officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2-4 and 5-7pm Central time on Monday, January 2nd at the funeral home.
