May 22, 1935 – March 30, 2024
Sharon Griffin Culpepper, 88 of South Pittsburg went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She trusted God deeply and committed her life to serving God and her family.
Sharon was born on May 22, 1935, in Bridgeport, Alabama to Perry Spiller and Audrey Stanley Griffin. Sharon loved her Savior and enjoyed witnessing to others about the Lord. She was a member of Jasper First Baptist Church. She was proud of her family and adored her children and grandchildren. There wasn't much she couldn't do, make, or create. Some of her best days were spent working in her many flower gardens and quilting, creating special pieces to share with others. She was a Respiratory Therapist for 32 years before retiring. During her career she was able to show her compassion by giving through her service in healthcare.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Harvie Ray Culpepper, four brothers, Glen Griffin, Perry (Dobbie) Griffin, Don Griffin, and Royce Griffin, two sisters, Clovella Lee and Nona Jo Henderson.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Culpepper, Danny (Jan)Culpepper, and Jeff (Susan)Culpepper and Daughter, Dana (John)Young, eleven Grandchildren, Gwyn (Eric), Pippa, Aaron (Bryce), Blake (Haley), Ethan (Raven), Willa, Devin, Chris (Shania), Madison (Trevor), Henry, and Hannah, four great grandchildren, best friend and sister-in-law, Nelle Carmichael, brother-in-law, Jimmy (Shirley)Culpepper, sister-in-law, Patricia Culpepper Presley and, Several special nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Tracy Scott and Stephanie Woodfin for loving her as their own family.
The family wishes to celebrate the life of this beautiful soul on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. (CST) at Jasper First Baptist Church, 108 W Third Street Jasper, TN 37347.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the service at 4:00 p.m. (CST) at the Jasper First Baptist Church.
Interment will be private and at a later time.
If anyone would like to make a donation in Sharon's name, please do so to St. Jude Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or Wounded Warriors.
