The heart of our family is forever broken with the passing of Sharon Lee Smith (wife, mom, nana, auntie, sister, and friend) on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the age of 69.

She was born to Russell Searing and Pauline Reichardt Searing in Chicago, Illinois on June 13, 1952.  There she met and married the love of her life and best friend, James 'Mack' Smith.  After spending several years in Illinois, they relocated their family to Tennessee in 1988 where they built a beautiful home to raise their 4 children. The light of her world was and always will be her three beautiful grandchildren.  She loved laughing, shopping, camping, traveling, and most of all spending time with her loving family, both immediate and extended.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Michael William Smith and her beloved sister, Alice May Katralis.

Those left to forever cherish their memories and miss her dearly are her husband; James 'Mack' Smith, her children; Paula (Brian) Smith, Cassandra (Landon) Hill, and Crystal (Brian) Meeks, three grandchildren; Brianna Meeks, Cale Smith, and Hannah Meeks.  She also leaves behind her sister Gail Hoefke, stepbrother Mike (Sue) Fitzpatrick, several nieces and nephews that she loved and adored.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CST) and on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor, Steve Middleton officiating.

Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Landon Hill, Brian Smith, Brian Meeks, Peter Katralis, Clifford Smith, and Andy Winters.

Due to Covid it is requested that friends and family wear a mask for safety measures.
