Obituary

Mrs. Sheila McQueen Ellison of Prattville, AL died at a Montgomery, AL hospital on September 12, 2010.
Daughter of the late Clarence McQueen, she graduated from Clinton High School, and attended East Tennessee State University and Freewill Baptist Bible College in Nashville. Mrs. Ellison worked at Vanderbilt and University of Alabama Children's Hospital and was the recipient of an early spousal kidney transplant. Her missions to Guatemala and Central Florida complimented her Alabama Baptist Convention work. She carried the Olympic torch at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
She is survived by her husband, Rick W. Ellison of Prattville; mother, Margaret McQueen of Oak Ridge, TN; daughter, Christy Bentley and grandson, Christian Bentley both of Prattville; brothers, Ross McQueen of Locust Grove, GA, Terry McQueen of Jackson, GA and John McQueen of Oak Ridge, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN at noon central time on Thursday, September 16, 2010, officiated by Rev. Chuck Ashley, where the family will receive friends for the two hours prior to the service.
