Shelia Marie Johnson, 37, of South Pittsburg, TN died suddenly, Tuesday, June 17, 2008.
The daughter of Eddie Johnson and the late Jeanette Pero Johnson, she was a member of Mt. Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Born in Los Angeles, California, she moved to South Pittsburg as a teenager and attended South Pittsburg High School. Shelia never met a stranger, and always left a lasting impression with everyone she met. She had always been a child of God, and had rededicated her life to Christ this past Sunday, June 15, 2008.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, DeJuva Dorsey and son, Garron Baker.
She is survived by her father, Eddie Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; children, Ahmad "Lucky" Johnson of Chattanooga and Kayla Johnson of Jasper; brothers, Edward Jackson and Benjamin Scott; sister, Larita Davis all of Los Angeles; special friends, Angela Kelso, Auntie Liz Kelso, Mable Green, Brenda Baker, Barbara Baker, Peter Baker all of South Pittsburg, Mary Wordlaw of Stevenson, AL, Peggy Chubb of Wildwood, GA, Carmen Valenti of Jasper, Lisa Williams of Chattanooga; Boyfriend, Thomas Currington; Sisters, Nikki, Kim, Niya, Ashley, Brittany and Daija all of South Pittsburg.
Funeral services will be conducted from Mt. Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in South Pittsburg on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 1 PM CDT with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery.
The wake will be on Friday from 11 AM until service time at the church.
