Shirley Marie Powell Jackson, 79 of Kimball Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020,

at Signature Healthcare after battling several health issues for the past several years.

She had lived in Marshall County and Marion County, Tennessee while growing up and then

moved to Kimball in the 1950's, where she lived until being moved to Signature Healthcare in 2018.

She was a member of the Kimball Church of Christ and taught the Wednesday night preschool

Bible class for over 40 years. She also worked in the benevolent program for many years working

to help those who were less fortunate.  She loved going to church, reading the Bible, and

teaching hundreds of young children that were in her classes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jackson, Sr., her parents, Jesse and Laila

Powell, sister Faye White, Brother William Powell and infant brother John Horace Powell.

She is survived by her daughter Ruth Jackson (Greg) Rowe; son David (Melissa) Jackson, Jr.,

grandson Robby Jackson; great grandsons Grayson and Gabriel Jackson; sister Peggy Brown;

several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Kimball Church of Christ at 1:00 pm Central time on

Thursday, March 5, 2020 with Rusty Hargis and Billy Watkins officiating.

Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm

at Rogers Funeral Home at South Pittsburg, and on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00

Central time at the Kimball church of Christ prior to the funeral service.
