Stella Inez Johnson passed away at the age of 96 on Monday, December 9, 2024, in an assisted living facility where she had lived for three years.
Living in Jasper for most of her life, she loved her vegetable garden and sewing. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jasper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. L. (Bill) Johnson; her parents, Luther and Emma Lee Moore, four brothers and Three sisters.
She is survived by a son, Darrell (Teresa) Johnson of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Susie (Kenton) Holloway of Chattanooga, TN; grandson, Mark (Amy) Johnson of Salisbury; granddaughter, Melissa (Eric) Stout of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Brodie and Katie Johnson and Neyland, Knox and Summitt Stout.
The family would like to thank the staff of Charter Senior Living for the care they gave her for the past three years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. (CST) in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, 21 East Fifth Street, Jasper, Tennessee 37347 with Pastor Greg Steele officiating.
Ms. Johnson will be laid to rest with her beloved husband W.L. (Bill) Johnson at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the Jasper Funeral Home chapel.
