Steven Duncan Cox, 40, of Chattanooga, passed away early Saturday morning, July 29, 2006. He was an employee of Tennesco, Inc. He was a graduate of Rossville High School, attended the University of Georgia, and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan, and loved golf, Jimmy Buffet, Johnny Cash, and his dogs, Duke and Holly.Steve is survived by his wife, Bertie Willis Cox, of Chattanooga, and his parents, Larry and Catherine Cox of Ringgold, Georgia, his sisters- and brothers-in-law: Beth and Levoy Gudger, Lynn and David Johnson, Gail and Johnny King, Hal and Brenda Willis, Don Willis, and Bob Willis, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lottie and Kenneth Chastain, Susie and Duncan Cox, and his mother-in-law, Emma Jo Willis.The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, at Heritage Funeral Home in East Brainerd, from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Eastern, and will receive friends on Monday, July 31, at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Central.Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper at 4:00 Central Tuesday, August 1, 2006.The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, PO Box 655, Jasper, TN 37347, of which his wife and mother are active members.
