Susan Brown Wilson, 72, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 23, 2026.

Susan was a long-time native of South Pittsburg who traveled wherever her career took her, but she always knew that South Pittsburg was home. Her roots in the community remained an important part of her life.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and James Ivan Brown, and her brother, James Ivan Brown II.

Susan is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: James I. Brown III (Mary), Cheri Haskew, James C. Brown (Sacha), Kellie Schindel (Tom), Craig Colquitt, Adelyn McLemore, Emma and Abby Brown, Kristin (Matt) Atkins, Hunter Schindel, Jenna Hennessee. She also leaves behind her 4-legged companion, Dante, a host of cherished cousins and a special circle of girlfriends who were more than friends—they were family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (CDT) in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (CDT) at the funeral home.
