Susie Gail Moats Sharp, 63, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her home.

The daughter of the late Woodrow & Hazel Mildred Sexton Moats, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Sharp, brothers, Woody Moats, Jr. and Paul Allen Moats, and sisters, Mary Cagle and Carolyn Hargis.

A lifelong resident of the South Pittsburg area, she worked for many years as an operator at Shaw Industries, retiring in 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, and loved spending time playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Wendy (Johnny) May, of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Brent Vinson, Jacob Vinson, Lauren May, Kevin May, and Jonathan May; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Luke, Braleigh, Jase, Avery, and Harper; sisters, Opal Smith, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Ann Holland, of Englewood, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at Wesley United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Central time with Rev. Joe Moore, officiating.
