Sylvia "Jan" Hurst, 67, of South Pittsburg, TN, went to be with the Lord and other loved ones that went on before her Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

She graduated from South Pittsburg High School and was a lifetime resident of South Pittsburg. She worked at many different places over the years with the last 13 years spent working for Goodwill.

She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her Papaw and Mamaw Mason & Maggie Parham; Mother & Stepdad, Betty Jo "Parham" Simmons & Donald "Shorty" Simmons; Brothers, Barry Hurst, Robert "Bob" Hurst, William Hurst, & Cousin Debra "Lynn" Melton.

Those left to cherish her memories are her uncle, Curtis Parham, Brothers; Gary Hurst, Harold Hurst, Sister; Sarah Hurst, Sister-in-Law; Donna Hurst, Cousin; Lisa Parham, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She loved all her fur babies inside, all the strays outside, and her bird Robbie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (CDT) prior to the funeral service in the chapel at 4:00 p.m. (CDT) at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN.
