IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Don
Allison
June 21, 1960 – November 15, 2017
Terry Don Allison, "T-Bird", 57, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.
A longtime resident of Orange Grove Center in Chattanooga, Terry took great pride assembling pens in the workshop for many years. For those privileged to have met him, every day was his birthday and he expected two dollars in every card. He loved Diet Cokes, greeted everyone with a long hug, and knew only love. He enjoyed listening to Elvis, Merle Haggard, and Charlie Pride, but never without singing along and dancing. Everyone was a better person for knowing him and he will be greatly missed by many.
Terry was a son of the late Tom and Avyleen Allison of South Pittsburg, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Owensby; special cousin, Don McClain; and grandparents, Byrd & Delia Allison and John & Rebecca Layne.
Survivors include a brother, Dr. Tom (Claudia) Owensby, of Chattanooga; two nieces, Kim (Kurtis) Lewis, of Chattanooga, and Gwen Owensby, of South Pittsburg; four nephews, Kevin (Tammie) Owensby, of Cleveland; Keith (Stephanie) Owensby, of Chattanooga; Kennon (Vanessa) Owensby, of Chattanooga, and Cliff Owensby, of Illinois; and Ann Owensby of South Pittsburg; four great nieces, four great nephews; one great-great niece; and one great-great nephew.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at 1:00 PM Central time at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee, with the Rev. Ronnie Case officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Orange Grove Center, 615 Derby Street, Chattanooga, TN 37404-1678.
