Terry Taylor, 77, of Jasper, TN died at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
The middle son of nine children born to the late Terry Lee and Grace Taylor, Terry was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky. He married the former Glenda Sue Mullen and they moved their family from Paducah to Jasper in 1962. He served for three years with the National Guard, was a member of the Jasper First Baptist Church and retired from TVA at Widows Creek as a Senior Instrument Mechanic Forman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Hugh Taylor and Archie Lee Taylor; and sisters, Ruby Aline Taylor and Lura Brian.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda M. Taylor of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lee (Karen) Taylor of Hardin, KY, Timothy Alan Taylor of Jasper, daughter and son-in-law, Kathy (Kenneth) Butts of Cadiz, KY; grandchildren, Michelle Knight and Cole Bybee both of Cadiz, Timothy James Taylor of Murfreesboro, TN, Gena Tidwell and Krissi Owens both of Murray, KY and Brittany Taylor of Jasper; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Alta Presson of Paducah, Luda Mae Johnson of Reidland, KY, Anna Cox of Alexandria, VA and Daisy McDaniel of Smithland, KY and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, from 5 - 9 PM at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
A second visitation will be at Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Paducah, KY from 10am - 1pm on Wednesday, July 15. Funeral services will follow at 1pm. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
