Thomas Raymond "T.R." Cantrell, Jr., 73, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013. T.R. was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School and remained an avid Pirate fan. He served in the United States Army and National Guard. He retired from TVA Widows Creek and Lodge Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas "Raymond" Cantrell and his mother, Minerva Davis Cantrell.
He is survived by his devoted wife Laura Fay Cantrell of 37 years; his son and best friend, Thomas Raymond "Trey" Cantrell, III of South Pittsburg, daughter, Heather Croy Lewis and son-in-law, Bill Lewis of Morganfield, KY, and daughter, Betty Ann Blevins, of South Pittsburg; grandchildren include Madelyn Blevins, Ethan Blevins, Allison Scott, Dylan Lewis and Derek Lewis.
Services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Thursday at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Case officiating. Interment will be in Patton Annex Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
