IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas
Durham
October 17, 2020
In the early morning hours of October 17, 2020, Thomas (Tommy) Melvin Durham went home to be with his Lord.
He will be lovingly remembered and very much missed by his wife of 64 years, Doris Marsh Durham; his children, Mike Durham, Neiciee Durrence, and Sam (Debbie) Durham; his grandchildren, Leslie (Jeremy) Jackson, Patrick Durham, Jasen Durrence and Kevin (Cheyenne) Durrence; his great grandchildren, Austin Jackson, Mason Jackson and Kellan Durrence; his brother Dallas (Charlotte) Durham and sister-in-law, Peggy (James Paul) Durham; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) C. Durham and Emma Blevins Durham; his father and mother-in-law, Edward H. and Faye B. Marsh; his brothers, William C. Durham, Jr., James Paul Durham, Barbara Ann (Connie Mack) Barnes, and Steve Durham.
Having led a full life at 83 years of age, Tommy was a life-long resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, and began work with his father-in-law at E.H. Marsh Service Company, Inc. in 1960, where he and Doris later became owners of the business until their retirement, at which time their sons Mike and Sam continued the family owned business.
Tommy was a member of the Holly Avenue United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir and served on various committees through the years. A 32nd degree Mason, Tommy was also an avid supporter of the community, the South Pittsburg Pirates and the Cornbread Festival.
Out of concern and respect for our family and friends, there will be no visitation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am (CST), Friday, October 23, 2020 at Patton Annex Cemetery, South Pittsburg, TN with Pastor Logan Jackson officiating.
Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service at Patton Annex Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to:
