Tommy Toney, 40, of Blacksburg, VA, formerly of South Pittsburg, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in Blacksburg. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of "Wings of Faith Quartet" & "The Reason" gospel groups. He had a great love of sports and was associated with the TSSAA Officiating Officials and the Sequatchie Valley Umpire Association. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David & Lucy Toney and Woodrow & Nell Rich.He is survived by his wife, Dana Culpepper Toney of Blacksburg, VA; one son, Jacob Toney of Kimball and two step-sons, Aaron Bolton of Winchester and Blake Rogers of Blacksburg; his mother, Linda Rich Toney of Kimball; his father, Aaron and step-mother, Sharon Toney of Jasper; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.Funeral services will be conducted from the First Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 1:00 PM CST with Rev. Charlie Campbell and Rev. Mickey Skates officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery.The family will receive friends Friday, June 2, 2006 from 11 AM until 9 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
