Obituary

Tommy Wayne Saylors, 61, of South Pittsburg, TN died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A retired employee of TVA and US Gypsum, he was also a former employee of the Jasper Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Department. He was of the Baptist faith and is remembered for his one-of-a-kind, gentle nature.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reno Saylors, step-father, Chester Holder, and grandparents, Jeff & Ada Mayfield and George & Minerva Saylors.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Mayfield Holder; wife, Lila Saylors of South Pittsburg, TN; son, Jeff (Amy) Saylors of Bryant, AL; step-children, Candy Williams, Arleana McCafferty and Dell Jackson all of Athens, AL; brother, Mack (Sheila) Saylors of Stevenson, AL; sister, Vickie Saylors of South Pittsburg; eight grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousin, Janice Goins; and his beloved Pomeranian, Smokey.
A memorial service will be held at Richard City Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2pm Central time.
The family requests that no flowers be sent. Memorial donations can be made to Richard City Baptist Church, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, South Pittsburg, TN 37380.
