Miss Tula Mae Ross, 91, of Jasper, TN, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in a Chattanooga healthcare center.
The daughter of the late Genious Hoyle and Berniece Long Ross, she was a lifelong resident of Marion County and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a former employee of Standard-Coosa-Thatcher.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Irene Raines and nephew, Kenneth Thurmond.
She is survived by her sisters, Billie Lou Thurmond and Patsy (Paul) Leroy, both of Jasper; nephews, Michael (Donna) Leroy of Jasper, James (Lisa) Raines of Thompson Station, TN, Steve (Martha) Leroy of Chattanooga, Scott (Mary) Leroy of Chattanooga and Charles Thurmond of Jasper, TN; great nieces and nephews, Amanda (Wes) Thacker of Chattanooga, Elizabeth Leroy of Washington, DC, Jason (Brooke) Raines of Plano, TX, Christina (Terry) Barnes of Chattanooga and Jeremy Leroy, currently serving in Kyrgyzstan; great-great nieces, Lily Thacker and Lila Raines; and great-great-nephews, Hunter Leroy and Terry Barnes III.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29th at 2pm Central time. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Whitwell, TN.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, December 28th from 3-8 pm Central time at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church or to the Sardis Cemetery Fund.
