Velma June Rector, 89, of Jasper, TN died Friday, November 28, 2014, peacefully at her home.


Born June 14, 1925, to the late Aaron and Nancy Scott McGlothen, she retired from South Pittsburg Hospital, and was a member of the Southern Baptist Association and Mineral Springs Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family.


She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Horace Claude Rector.


Survivors include her son, Barry Rector, Sr.; granddaughter, Sheryl Rector Heiskell of Jasper, TN; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Lexie and Makayla; several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 1pm Central time on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.


The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, November 30th from 11am Central until service time at the funeral home.
