Velvet Carmella McAllister Johnson, 44, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital.

The daughter of late James Edward McAllister, she was a devoted wife, mother and "Mimi," who lived her life to care for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Johnson, II of South Pittsburg, TN; two children, Haley (Josh) Smith, of South Pittsburg and Wren (Bridget) Parm, of East Ridge, TN; sisters, Donna (Ronnie) Guffey and Polly Land; four grandchildren, Graycee, Brayden, Lexi and Hadley; and mother, Frances Salisbury Parm.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
