Vernon Capshaw

Vernon Capshaw, 90, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Valley View Assisted Living in Whitwell. The son of the late Robert and Nola Davis Capshaw, he was an Army veteran, and retired in 1985 after a career as a repairman for the Army Corp of Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine Capshaw; a son, David (Angie) Capshaw both of Jasper; a daughter, Melody Capshaw of Nashville; one sister, Annie Copass of Toledo, Ohio; two grandsons, Daniel and Caleb Capshaw, and one great-granddaughter, Ella Capshaw.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4th from 2-5 PM at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, January 5th at 2:00PM Central time with Daniel Capshaw and Jimmy Holtzclaw officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Jasper Church of Christ.
