Virginia Hamblen Coppinger, 77of Sequatchie, TN, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
The daughter of the late Roy and Alma Walker Hamblen, she was a devoted wife of 61 years, a mother and grandmother who loved her family. She had attended the Cartwright Church of God and had worked for many years in the sewing industry.
She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and a special granddaughter, Carrie Hudson Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, Jacky G. Coppinger; two sons, Vern Coppinger of Whitwell, TN, Barry (Sheila) Coppinger, of Soddy Daisy, TN, daughter, Karla Gay (Joe) Wilbur, of Knoxville, TN; Grandchildren, Brent Hudson, Farrah Coppinger, Jennifer Coppinger, Brandon Coppinger, Wade Coppinger, Jesse Coppinger, Brianna Angel and Zachary Coppinger; several great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9th from 5-8 pm at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
Services will be held Friday, June 10, at 2pm at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper with Rev. Roy Terry officiating. Interment will be in Sardis Cemetery.
