Virginia Ann Hembree Millard, 68, of Chattanooga, died Thursday, April 26, at Chattanooga Hospice Care at Memorial Hospital.She was a resident of East Brainerd and was a native of Long Island, Jackson County, AL. She returned to the Chattanooga area in 2005, after retiring from Martin-Brower Co, in Dickson, TN. She was a graduate of and former majorette of Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, AL and was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Kathleen Lasater Hembree of Long Island, AL and an infant daughter, Karen Ann Millard.She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Evan E. Millard; four children, Guy A. (Vicki) Millard of South Pittsburg, Lisa Millard (Selim Koyuncu) of Atlanta, GA, Kevin E. (Edineia) Millard of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Tracy K. (Wayne) Frank of Goshen, Ohio; four brothers, John (Betty) Hembree of Lexington, KY, William Hembree of Jacksonville, FL, Sam Hembree of West Palm Beach, FL, Ike (Gail) Hembree of Rocky Hill, SC; twin sister, Ida Sue Haggard of Long Island, AL; two brothers-in-law, James L. Millard of Flat Rock, AL and Merrill L. (Joy) Millard of Canton, GA; six grandchildren, Aimee Millard, Travis Millard, Deborah Millard, Stephen Millard, Kathleen Frank and Nicholas Frank.Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM EDT at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Bill Lassiter officiating.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or The Mary Ellen Locher Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital.The family will receive friends Sunday, April 29th from 6-9 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
