Virginia Parker (Cooper) passed away peacefully on October 16,2024 at NHC in Knoxville, TN. She kept her fiery temperament and love of family right up to the end. Born 9/12/1927 in Valley Head, AL to Riley and Margaret Cooper, she was a curious and independent child who enjoyed life in the country.  She attended Marion County High School in Jasper, TN. There she met the love of her life and married Orville Parker in 1946.

Virginia was a devoted wife and mother to their children Jim and Mary while Orville taught high school shop and ran Valley Auto Supply. Orville preceded Virginia in death.

She is survived by her children Mary Hooper and Jim Parker as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren to whom she was a devoted "Grand Ma".

She was the product of a bygone era, and we will greatly miss her sense of humor, strong independence, and love.

The family will have a private service at a later date.

Ms. Parker will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee.
