Mr. William Clyde Davis of South Pittsburg, TN died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at his home.The son of the late James Leonard and Virgie Louella Gray Davis, he was a member of the South Pittsburg First Baptist Church and the Local Ironworkers. He was a US Army Veteran and was a Veteran of Vietnam, serving as a Merchant Marine. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Clinton Davis and brother-in-law, Victor Alava.He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Brantley and husband, Larry of Lawrenceville, GA; son, James Keith Leverette of Atlanta, GA; grandsons, Walter Jackson Brantley and Christopher James Leverette both of Lawrenceville; sisters, Mae Alava of Port St. Lucie, FL and Barbara Sayler and husband, Jim of Gainesville, GA; special friends, Roy and Glenda Weir of Pinson, TN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM CST with Reverend Charlie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 2-4 and 5-9 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
