Mr. William Price Goins, 88, of Guild, TN, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bertie Irwin Goins, sister, Virginia Goins, 5 brothers, Clarence, Arthur Kay, Dewitt, Ulysses and Floyd Goins.
He attended the Community Bible Fellowship Church. A graduate of Marion County High School class of 1946, he went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville class of 1950 where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Alumni Association.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, an Agronomist and retired from U.S. Steel in Agriculture.
He is survived by his wife Betty Brown Goins, of Guild, TN; 4 special cousins, Jerry Irwin, Regina Stinson, Mike Irwin and Anthony Irwin; many more cousins, 3 nieces and 3 great nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Bishop Jerry Irwin officiating.
Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 3-6 pm at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home.
