William Lee, 89, of South Pittsburg, TN died on Friday, December 24, 2010 in a local hospital.
The son of the late Leslie and Bessie Ewton Lee, he was a US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired employee of TVA and had also worked for several years at South Pittsburg Elementary School. He was also a member of Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg. He was also preceded in death by one son, Billy E. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee of South Pittsburg; children, Emma Smith Price of Signal Mountain, Ruby Smith Poe of South Pittsburg, Betty Jane Smith Hatfield of Jasper and Jenny Lee Curd of Kimball; brother George Lee of Tempe, AZ; sister, Sarah Lee Forkum of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Kevin Curd, Jason & Tyler Price, Jeff Poe, Brent Cooper and Mandy Cooper McGarey; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2pm Central time with Reverend Ronnie Case officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 27th from 5-9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
