Mr. William Ephie McClanahan, 89, of Sequatchie, TN died Saturday, April 29, 2006. The son of the late J. F. and Lottie Turner McClanahan, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County and worked for many years at the Phillips 66 Service Center in Kimball. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Moody McClanahan, and a sister, Mattie Barnett. He is survived by his children, Billy & Billie Sue McClanahan of Sequatchie, TN, Lynda Smith of Jasper and Elaine & Mark Hawkins of Kingsport, TN; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Lacy McClanahan of Orange Park, FL; sisters, Mary Kosh of Indianapolis, IN and Naomi Bell of Tucson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 2 PM CDT with Rev. Mike Teague officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 1, 2006 from 2-8 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Coppinger Cove Baptist Church.
