&Quot;Frank&Quot; Henderson
January 15, 1923 – February 11, 2017
Another piece of history has passed this life for the next with the passing of William "Frank" Henderson, 94, of Jasper, TN.
Born in Rockwood, TN, the son of John A. and Elizabeth Waller Henderson, he was the last of thirteen siblings having had three brothers and nine sisters.
Frank served in the Army in both World War II and the Korean conflict. He spent the majority of his working career with T.V.A. retiring in 1982 after 25 years.
His family's houses are filled with his handiwork. In his younger years Frank was an unhittable fast pitch softball pitcher.
He was an active member of Jasper First Baptist Church.
The absolute love of his life for 69 years is Margaret Elizabeth Melhorn Henderson, the two of them together setting the example of true love. Frank is also survived by his three children, Donna (Skip) Phillips, Allen (Karen) Henderson and Richard (Janet) Henderson; grandsons, Mack, Ryan and David Phillips, John and Tom Henderson, Caleb and Wyatt Henderson and John Cole; two granddaughters, Veronica Banks and Dana Walters, plus seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren are also surviving. Frank has numerous surviving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roger Webb and Rev. Steve Merrell officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 3-8 PM at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
