Yvonne Marie Norman, 85, of Whitwell, TN, passed away in her home on Saturday, November 11, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cumberland, TN to Fred and Dorothy Sherrill on April 26, 1938, Yvonne was one of nine children. She married Walter Herstle Norman on December 22, 1956. They enjoyed a loving marriage of 49 years before his passing in 2006. She was a devoted mother to their four children, Randall, Diane, Keith, and Joseph who were all raised in Jasper, TN.
Yvonne was a dedicated homemaker, beautiful soul, and rock steady foundation to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved gardening, cooking, and bird watching; but above all she loved her family and Jehovah. Baptized on the 3rd of January 1970, Yvonne was a Jehovah's Witness who remained steadfast and true to her faith through every facet of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Clarence, Glen, Kenneth, and James, her husband, Walter, and her sons Randall and Joseph.
She is survived by her siblings Mary Lou Green, Patricia Swicegood (Garo), Elizabeth Couse (Tom), and Charles Sherrill (Kris), her children Diane Van Hove (Joan), and Keith Norman (Kaye), daughter in-law Judy Norman Miles, her grandchildren Dusty Norman, Casey Norman (April), Jereisha Belk (Dakota), Shelly Winston (Mario), Summer Robertson (Jamie), Caleb Blevins, Brandi Wright (Matthew), Joshua Norman, and Kendra Norman, seventeen great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in faith, and other loved ones.
Officiating is Elder David Robertson.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 2:00pm (CST) at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 200 Alton Drive, Jasper TN 37347. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 prior to service.
