James Oliver Yearby age 62, passed away on April 13, 2021. He was born in Flint, Michigan on May 5, 1958. His cousin, Rev. Jessie Allen Cole baptized him into Christ in 2006.
James was a generous, loving and free-spirited man, who enjoyed music, art, fishing and playing basketball. He was an inspiration to many of his young nephews, friends, and anyone else around him that needed a push forward and positive guidance. His positive attitude helped him survive cancer.
James is survived by his sister, Janet Harris (Riley) and two brothers; Solomon Yearby (Debra) and Joseph Yearby; one nephew, Solomon N. Yearby, III and his mother, Billy Lindo. His aunts, Stella Hale (Theophilus), Victoria Williams, Sephronia Faulcon, Lillie Johnson and Maggie Yearby. Cousins are Rev. Jessie Cole (Diane) the Haden family to include Robert (Beau), Tony, Walter, James, Sabrina, Carolyn and Josie. Many other loving relatives and friends survive as well as a loving sister-friend Tanya Canon and all the rest of his caring and close Louisville, Ky. family of choice.
He is preceded in death by his mother Billie Yearby, and father Solomon Yearby. Loving and precious sister Mildred Yearby and her son Clarence D. Williams. Aunts and uncles also passed away are Joyce Moore (Robert), Jean Haden (Curtis), Nancy Kelly (Vance), Jeanette Cole, Bernice Williams, Oliver Martin, James Yearby (Betty), Franklin Yearby and Johnny Yearby (Vivian).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.(CDT) at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN, Rev. Joe Moore will officiate the service.
