Ricky L. Smith, 67, of South Pittsburg, TN went home to meet his Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

He was the son of the late Leroy F. and Katherine J. (Payne) Smith. Ricky was born on October 25, 1953 in Chattanooga, TN.

Ricky was a member of First Baptist Church of South Pittsburg and was active on the Building and Grounds Committee. He also gave back to the community by coaching girls' summer softball league.

He worked as a water analyst for TVA at Widow's Creek Fossil Plant, retiring after 30 years of service. Prior to his work at TVA, Ricky worked for the City of South Pittsburg Water Filtration Plant. He also served his country in the Tennessee National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Neil Smith.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debbie (Wells) Smith; daughters Melisa Jaylene (Tommy) Niznick of South Pittsburg, TN; Meschel (Danny) Thomas of Dellrose, TN; Ginger (Ricky) Grayson of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter Nicole Bridgett Beaty Niznick of South Pittsburg, TN; grandson Justin Bryce Grayson of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private ceremony for the family at a later date.
